Brookline is the perfect mixture of urban and suburban living. The area has a number of commercial squares including Brookline Village, Washington Square and Coolidge Corner, spaced out among an otherwise residential landscape.

The area is divided into many distinct neighborhoods including Chestnut Hill, which extends into Newton, Corey Hill, Pin Hill and Fishers Hill, among others. About 57,000 people call Brookline home, and its population is growing with families, as the neighborhood has one of the area’s top school systems.

Notable past and present residents include Celtics great Larry Bird, politician Michael Dukakis, entertainer Conan O’Brien and Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots. Brookline was also the birthplace of John F. Kennedy.
