Somerville is located just north of Boston and next to Cambridge, and has a population of about 77,000. It is a residential neighborhood with an industrial past, which includes one special legacy; the invention of the marshmallow crème that we lovingly call “Fluff.”

Somerville was often referred to as “Slummerville,” referring to its history of crime and ties to James “Whitey” Bulger and the “Winter Hill Gang.” Today, the area has reemerged as a popular destination for 20 and 30-something professionals, all centered around Davis Square. The neighborhood is primarily comprised of single-family and multi-family homes, many of which have been converted to condominiums.
